This is an executive-level, full-time position encompassing a wide range of activities with involvement in most aspects of firm administration and personnel, including, but not limited to, the following:
- As a member of the Executive Team, you provide direct support, guidance and recommendations to the Partners and Managers of the firm through various reports and information to assist in strategic planning and decision-making.
- You develop and maintain policies and procedures in keeping with current federal and provincial legislation, regulations, standards and acts.
- You assess workflow and scheduling requirements to maintain optimal staffing levels.
- You coordinate and participate in all required activities and maintain necessary documentation with respect to hiring, terminations, onboarding, training and professional development, performance reviews, disciplinary measures, promotions, employee leaves and absences, etc.
- You are the key contact and liaison on behalf of the firm with the provincial professional accounting bodies, as well as the local universities, with respect to the firm’s support and recruitment of students following the Chartered Professional Accountant path.
- You provide oversight, supervision, leadership and direction to the firm’s Administrative Team of five (5) individuals and develop an understanding of how each position within your area of supervision is performed in order to maintain a balanced, positive, productive and efficient workflow for all administrative staff.
