Robert began his career at Logan Katz as a co-op student in 2017. After graduating from the University of Ottawa, Telfer School of Management in 2018, Robert joined Logan Katz full time and started his public accounting career, while obtaining his Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) designation in 2022. He is well-versed in providing tailored service to our clients as a core member of our compliance team. Robert’s professional experience includes the audit and review of financial statements, personal and corporate tax return review, and other technical financial and non-financial consulting services. He is also responsible for overseeing senior and junior staff accountants on various engagements to ensure their timely completion while maintaining high standards in quality of work. In his spare time, Robert enjoys getting outside and playing golf.

Alèxe started her career in public accounting with Logan Katz in 2018 through the University of Ottawa co-op program. In the fall of 2021, she was hired full-time after successfully writing the CFE. Since then, she has gained experience in both corporate tax and assurance engagements and eagerly took on a new role as a supervisor in 2023. She attends many networking events as a firm representative and is actively involved in recruiting co-op students for our firm. Alèxe is originally from a small francophone town in Northern Ontario and will be pleased to assist you in both French and English.

Danick began his career in public accounting with Logan Katz in 2019 through the University of Ottawa co-op program.  Following his graduation from the University of Ottawa’s Telfer School of Management and successfully writing the Common Final Examination (CFE), Danick was hired full-time in the Fall of 2021.  Since then, he has gained extensive experience in both corporate tax and assurance engagements and has enjoyed his involvement with the start-up and tech communities. Adam graduated from Carleton University’s Sprott School of Business in 2010. After starting and running his own business for 5 years, Adam began his career in public accounting in 2015 and eventually joined Logan Katz in 2021. Adam works closely with owner managers of all industries and enjoys helping clients with their various accounting needs. He specializes in tax, working on both cross border and complex domestic tax issues. Outside of work, Adam keeps busy spending time with his wife and two kids while also playing competitive soccer.

Shortly after graduating from Carleton University’s Sprott School of Business Program in December 2017, Alex began his career in public accounting with Logan Katz in January 2018. Through his time with Logan Katz, Alex has gained a stock of knowledge in owner-manager remuneration and tax planning, personal and corporate taxation, as well as business advisory services. In 2020, he achieved his Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) designation. A natural leader, Alex is actively involved in training the new staff and co-op students and is always happy to lend a hand.

Mary began her career in the accounting realm as a co-op student at Logan katz in 2014 and was hired as a full-time employee in 2016. During her time with us, Mary has earned her CPA designation, been promoted to Supervisor and then to Manager. Mary is experienced in assurance engagements, corporate tax, personal tax and Estate tax. Mary is an active firm representative, as she attends many networking and charity events. She is also actively involved in the recruiting of co-op students for our firm.

Dryden is a supervisor at Logan Katz, where he has been working full time since 2021. Prior to that, he completed a coop term at the company in 2019. Dryden is highly skilled in corporate tax, personal tax, and owner manager remuneration, and he is known for his natural strategic thinking. In addition to his work at Logan Katz, Dryden has passed the common final exam and is actively working towards obtaining his CPA designation, which he is on track to complete in 2023. As a firm representative, Dryden attends many networking and charity events, making him an active and valued member of the Logan Katz community.

Justin started his career in public accounting with Logan Katz in 2018 through the co-op program at Dalhousie University. He graduated in 2020 and was hired on a full-time basis. Kerry began her career at Logan Katz in early 2008 as Gary Katz’s Executive Assistant.  She came to Logan Katz with several years’ of office experience, along with strong skills that lend to her ability to multi-task and work effectively.  She’s been instrumental in streamlining many of the administrative procedures, as well as creating and maintaining an information/training manual that has been instrumental in ensuring that all clients receive the same level of professionalism and expertise from our entire Administration Team.  She has proven to be a leader within the Administration Team and has eagerly taken on the role of Supervisor of Administration.

Patrick started his career in public accounting with Logan Katz in 2018 through the co-op program at the University of Ottawa. Chelsea started her career in public accounting with Logan Katz in 2011 through summer internship placements. In 2017, upon her graduation from University of Ottawa’s Telfer School of Management, she was hired on a full- time basis. She has gained a wealth of experience both in providing personalized service to our clients and in technical accounting matters. Chelsea is well-versed in personal and corporate tax matters, with a keen interest in assurance engagements. Nadia has over 15 years business experience, including two years in banking and over 10 years in public accounting. She has worked at a national firm where she led audits of entities in multiple industries, including one of the largest private corporations in Canada and a foreign subsidiary of a Canadian corporation reporting under US GAAP. A significant part of her recent practice has revolved around assurance engagements, software upgrades, and internal controls for not-for-profit organizations.

In 2018, she earned a well-deserved role as Supervisor and now helps lead our taxation practice to new heights. Denis’ introduction to Logan Katz was through a job interview with founding partners, Dave Logan and Gary Katz. Christa has over 13 years of experience with a national firm specializing in taxation for personal, private and public corporate and estate clients. She has worked on a significant number of large corporate restructurings and with a number of cross border clients as a part of a national transaction team that provides expertise to clients across the country with regards to restructuring transactions and tax due diligence engagements.  Christa has completed a number of courses in Chartered Professional Accountants Canada’s In-Depth Tax Program, the most comprehensive income tax training program in Canada, including In-Depth tax course parts I, II, and III, corporate reorganization, and tax issues for the owner managed business. Christa has been a facilitator for the CPA In-Depth tax course for the past four years.

His achievements include the Chartered Professional Accountants of Ontario’s Fellow of the Institute, granting him the FCPA, FCA designation. Gary is past-president of the North American division of AGN International, a worldwide association of independent accounting and consulting firms. He is active in the Ottawa community and is also currently chair of the board of directors of the Glebe Centre for Long-Term Care.

Trevor began his career in public accounting in 2007 and obtained his Chartered Professional Accountant designation in 2010. He joined Logan Katz in 2007, became a partner in 2018 and became Managing Partner in 2020. Trevor has acquired thorough experience in all areas of public accounting, including assurance, business advisory services, corporate and personal taxation and processing claims for Scientific Research and Development Investment Tax Credits (SR&ED). The vast amount of diverse industries he has been exposed to over the course of his career include high-tech, not-for-profit, sector councils, hospitality and construction. Trevor consistently provides professional and courteous service to his client base.

Through partnerships with DMZ (Ryerson University accelerator), Start Up Garage (University of Ottawa accelerator), Lead To Win (Carleton University accelerator), L-Spark (SaaS-based accelerator) and Invest Ottawa’s Pre-Accelerator and Accelerator programs, Trevor has developed an interest and expertise in all things tech (start-ups through to mature tech clients). Trevor has been involved with dealing with employee stock option plans (ESOPs), simple agreements for future equity (SAFE), convertible debt, SR&ED claims, capital gains exemption statuses and many other tech-related issues.

Wilson began his career in public accounting with Logan Katz in 2013 as a co-op student through the University of Ottawa’s Telfer School of Management.  His dynamic personality and keen work ethic quickly allowed him to develop strong relationships with our partners and staff, as well as our clients. Wilson became a highly-valued full-time employee in 2015 and obtained his CPA, CA designation in 2018. He has worked diligently at developing his skills and expertise across a wide range of areas including personal and corporate tax planning and filing, interim controllership functions, business advisory and assurance services. Clients appreciate Wilson’s ability to recognize the value of understanding their unique situation and putting crucial conversations first. It is in his view that exchanges between others should be amicable, strategic, and goal oriented. Wilson is an active ambassador for Logan Katz through volunteering consultations and workshops at Invest Ottawa, attendance at various charity and community events, coordination of and participation in various student recruiting activities, and providing leadership and mentorship advice. Outside of the office, Wilson enjoys spending time with his family and rock climbing.

Kyle began his career in public accounting with Logan Katz in 2013 as a co-op student through Carleton University’s Sprott School of Business Program. After his co-op placement, Kyle joined Logan Katz on a full-time basis in May 2015, obtained his Chartered Professional Accountant designation in 2018 and became a partner in 2023. Kyle has acquired extensive experience in several multi-disciplinary areas of public accounting, including personal and corporate taxation, owner-manager remuneration and tax planning, assurance (review and audit) engagements, business advisory services, and processing claims for Scientific Research and Development Investment Tax Credits (SR&ED). This experience has exposed Kyle to a wide range of industries.

Kyle utilizes his expertise as partner of the Logan Katz Toronto Office and works closely with the firm’s Toronto-based clients.  Through the firm’s partnerships with DMZ (Ryerson University accelerator), Kyle has also been able to offer his experience and knowledge to a number of the top tech start-ups as a Professional-in-Residence at DMZ. Kyle has been involved with dealing with simple agreements for future equity (SAFE), convertible debt, SR&ED claims, and many other tech-related issues.
